Ever wondered what it’s like to share your name with a celebrity? It can be pretty painful, and Beyoncé knows it all too well. No, we are not talking about the celebrity singer, but a New York teenager who says that sharing her name with the legendary singer has caused her a lot of pain. “Sometimes I hate my name,” starts a Facebook post on the Humans of New York page.
The Facebook post has got about 300,000 likes
The post has gone viral on Facebook. It has received close to 300,000 ‘Likes’ and has been shared about 20,000 times. Teenager Beyoncé put into words the horror of sharing her name with a singer. “…every time people learn my name is Beyoncé, somebody starts singing Single Ladies,” she said. Thousands of comments on her Facebook post reveal that she is not alone.
Of course, most of the comments are outright hilarious. One woman named Kaity Perry wishes to cash in on the Dark Horse singer Katy Perry’s name.
