BlackBerry Ltd BES12 Makes Work Easier For Home Care Provider

BlackBerry gained one more client for BES12, as announced by the company on Tuesday. As per the Canadian firm, CarePartners (home care providers) has chosen CellTrak’s VisitManager™ solution, which runs on BlackBerry® 10 smartphones and is managed by BES12.

BlackBerry simplifies home care

On an annual basis, nearly 70,000 patients are provided with various medical services such as personal support services, rehabilitation services and nursing care by CarePartners, which is a home care nursing agency. The company distributed BlackBerry 10 smartphones to nearly 4,000 of its employees, and all of them were provisioned with CellTrak’s VisitManager mobile healthcare management application.

BlackBerry 10 smartphones provisioned with VisitManger become a useful means for home care providers at CarePartners to directly track a patient’s information in a secure manner. BlackBerry devices also help them manage patients’ appointments and update their records in real-time. Also care providers and back office employees can easily carry out real-time communications in a secure manner with the help of the solution.

On a daily basis, a large number of visits are made by the home care staff to the clients. Keeping this in view, the vice president of CellTrak Canada, Barry Billings, said, “CarePartners recognized very quickly that they required a solution that gives their care providers convenient and secure access to the information they need and delivers a more integrated approach to logging and managing their hours of service.”

BES12 a multi-platform tool

Kelly Baechler, manager of organizational changes at CareParners, is pretty satisfied with the CellTrak solution on BlackBerry, as not only it has helped in drastically reducing the number of missed visits by patients but has also brought about a significant improvement in scheduling efficiency.

To securely manage their deployment of BlackBerry 10 smartphones, CarePartners is migrating to BES12 for enterprise mobility management (EMM). Devices running on all popular operating systems, such as iOS, Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry 10, can get seamless support from BES12. Also BES12 helps the IT department in managing all major mobile deployment models, such as BYOD, COPE and COBO.
