Philip Fisher And Kyle Bass Resource Pages Updated

Updated on

As promised recently we are updating/cleaning the investor resource pages on a regular basis. Last week completed the renovation of Julian H Robertson Jr., founder of Tiger Management LLC and James Montier resource pages. This week we’ve just finished updating the resource pages of Philip Fisher and Kyle Bass

We do not post all the investor updates on Twitter, Facebook etc. The best way to find new/updated etc profile pages,  without missing any ….is by signing up for our free daily newsletter!

Below is a partial excerpt from the two new pages followed by link to the full page, which can also be found under Value Investors tab above.

Philip Fisher

Philip Fisher was not a value investor, in fact he was a growth investor; however, he had such a profound impact on value investing that he must be mentioned on this page. Additionally, Fisher was a long term investor who invested based on fundamentals, and it can be argued that he mixed value and growth like Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger.

Although, Morningstar declared Philip Fisher as ‘one of the great investors of all time’ it probably does not do him justice. Fisher received a much more prestigious endorsement from the Oracle of Omaha. Warren Buffet claims he is ‘85% Graham and 15% Fisher’. I would argue that Buffett is more 85% Fisher and 15% Graham at this point.

Kyle Bass

Bass is a finance wizard, a person with extraordinary powers of mind and intellect to gauge, to weigh, to understand and then to pronounce the verdict. He has the strong analytical skills and is not afraid to strike while the iron is hot.

Being the managing partner at Hayman Capital Partner, a leading hedge fund in the country, Bass ‘is right about everything’ says the media. He made millions by predicting the subprime mortgage debacle. Bass also acts as a mortgage-credit-portfolio adviser to several other asset management firms and advises over four billion of investments in the residential mortgages backed securities market.
