Galaxy S6 Spigen Case Offers Detailed Look At The Device

Spigen’s Galaxy S6 images are similar to the renders by another accessories maker Cush Case

Samsung is gearing up to unveil the highly anticipated Galaxy S6 at the MWC in Barcelona on March 2. As the official release approaches, mobile accessories makers have started listing their cases for the yet-to-be-announced phone on online retail platforms. Korean accessories maker Spigen has listed its Galaxy S6 cases (via GSM Arena) on Amazon, revealing what Samsung’s next flagship phone would look like.

LED flash and heart sensor moved to the right of the camera

Given Spigen’s track record in revealing the design of smartphones through its listings before the official launch, it’s hard to doubt the credibility of its purported renders. The Korean accessories manufacturer has leaked devices including the iPhone 6 and Nexus 5. Spigen’s Galaxy S6 images are similar to those revealed by another accessories maker Cush Case a couple of days ago.

The renders confirm that the heart sensor and LED flash will be on the right side of the Galaxy S6 camera. The Galaxy S5 had LED flash and heart sensor below the camera. Images suggest that the forthcoming smartphone’s back texture will be similar to that of its predecessor. But the new phone will have an all-metal body, unlike the Galaxy S5.

Galaxy S6 to hit the stores in mid-April

One of the Amazon listings says the cases will be in stock on April 13. It means the Galaxy S6 could be available for sale by mid-April. Earlier this week, Qualcomm suggested that its 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor may not appear in the Galaxy S6. The Korean electronics giant has been working on its own powerful processor for more than a year. Samsung will likely use its own Exynos 7420 processor in the Galaxy S6.

Recently, Vodafone Netherlands accidentally revealed that Samsung will launch two versions of Galaxy S6: one standard and another with a curved display like the Galaxy Note Edge. BGR’s sources claim that the Galaxy S6 will feature a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display, built-in wireless charging, 2550mAh battery, 20MP main camera, and 5MP front camera. Samsung is also expected to launch a new Samsung Pay platform to take on Apple Pay.
