Leaked images suggest that the phone’s design looks a lot like the iPhone 6
Samsung will take the wraps off its Galaxy S6 smartphone on March 1 on the sidelines of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The rumor mill is churning out something new almost every day. But now the French website NoWhereElse.fr has for the first time leaked pictures of the smartphone’s metal frame. Last year, NoWhereElse revealed the iPhone 6 design and schematics ahead of its launch.
Galaxy S6 following iPhone’s footsteps?
For the past several months, there have been intense rumors that Samsung is developing the Galaxy S6 from scratch under the Project Zero to take the smartphone industry in a new direction. But leaked images suggest that the phone’s design looks a lot like the iPhone 6. That’s in line with last week’s report from SamMobile, which claimed that Samsung’s next flagship will have a similar design as the iPhone 6.

The pictures depict the metal frame from all angles. The 7.2mm thick frame has rounded corners. You can see cutouts for screen lock/power button on the right edge while the left edge sports volume button slots. The top edge has cutouts for an IR port and a microphone. Its bottom edge speaker grill, a 3.5mm headphone jack position also match the iPhones. The back panel has slots for heart rate sensor, camera and LED flash.
How much will the Galaxy S6 cost?
NoWhereElese confirms the pricing previously leaked by AndroidPit. The Galaxy S6 will cost 749 euros, 849 euros and 949 euros for the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants, respectively. The Korean company is also expected to launch a new dual-edge display Galaxy S Edge at the MWC event. The S Edge will cost 100 euros more than the standard version for each storage option.
The Galaxy S6 will reportedly ditch Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor due to overheating issues. The Korean company will instead use its own 64-bit Exynos 7420 chipset in the device. NoWhereElse claims that the phone will have a non-removable battery. Reports suggest that the phone will sport a 20MP main camera, 5MP front snapper, 3GB RAM, Android Lollipop, and a 2550mAh battery.
