Federal-Mogul Holdings Dips on Earnings Miss

Bellicum Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:BLCM), Novacopper Inc. (NYSEMKT:NCQ) and Voltari Corp. (NASDAQ:VLTC) are well in the green today nearly market close. Zafgen Inc. (NASDAQ:ZFGN), Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:FDML) and Oasis Petroleum Inc. (NYSE:OAS) are in the red.

Bellicum Pharmaceuticals Climbs

Bellicum Pharmaceuticals climbed +9.76% today and is up about +15% over the past five days. Billionaire George Soros initiated a position in the biotech company during the fourth quarter of last year.

Novacopper Inc. gained +9.07%, putting its YTD gain at around +22%. On February 13th, the company provided an update on its projects and announced fourth quarter financial results, including a net loss of $2.0 million compared to $4.9 million from the same period the year before. John Paulson is a long-time NCQ shareholder.

Carl Icahn pick Voltari Corp. rallied +7.25%, though it’s still down -80% over the past year.

Zafgen Dips After Hitting High Yesterday

Zafgen fell -9.5%, dipping after hitting a new 52-week high yesterday. The biotech company has been in the Farallon Capital portfolio since the third quarter of 2014. Its price has climbed +95% over the past six months.

Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp. tumbled -8.22% on the heels of its earnings report, which revealed it missed EPS expectations by $0.06. Carl Icahn has had a position in the firm across several quarters and has maintained more than 120 million FDML shares since 2013.

Oasis Petroleum Inc. fell -7.7%, putting its three-month loss at nearly -45%. Both John Paulson and Ray Dalio have stakes in the oil and gas company.
