Galaxy S6 And Galaxy Note 5: A Look At The New Concepts

Samsung is widely expected to announce its Galaxy S6 in March at the Mobile World Congress. As we are inching closer, rumors around the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 have started picking up steam. The Korean electronics giant is reportedly showcasing its Galaxy S6 smartphone to telecom carriers and partners at the Consumer Electronics Show. The company is still mum on its 2015 lineup. So, concept designers have taken it upon themselves to come up their own versions of the Galaxy S6 and Note 5.

Two different Galaxy S6 renderings

A new concept from Bob Freking shows the Galaxy S6 with metal design. It looks similar to the previous Galaxy S line devices, but has dumped plastic in favor of metal casing. It packs Quad HD display and 20-megapixel primary camera.

Yanko Design has created a new rendering of the Galaxy S6. But its design looks more like a Sony device rather than Samsung, says GottaBeMobile. It is available in black, silver and white colors. Yanko Design imagines the Galaxy S6 with a thin metal casing accompanied by a camera sensor on the back. It also features a physical home button, a large speaker grille and an edge-to-edge screen.

Galaxy Note 5 with 5.75-inch display

Though the Galaxy Note 5 is unlikely to be announced until late 2015, designers have come up with a few interesting renderings of the phablet. Tim Hausladen (via Concept Phones) has created the Note 5 with a premium metal chassis. It has a 5.75-inch Super AMOLED display, 21-megapixel main camera, 8MP front camera, and 4,200mAh battery.

Tim Hausladen’s Note 5 rendering has only 6mm thickness. On the inside, the device packs a 3.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 4GB RAM. It also has a physical Home button and a stylus. The concept has a line pattern on the back panel and very discrete volume buttons. So far, there are little rumors about the Galaxy Note 5.
