According to Preqin, commodity Trading Advisor (CTAs) funds have recorded their highest monthly returns since December 2010, building on a year of already strong performance. These funds delivered average returns of 3.41% in November compared to 4.19% in December 2010, and are up 8.48% over the year. Funds of hedge funds have also delivered their highest monthly returns since February over the last month, with these funds posting average returns of 1.24%. This compares to 1.51% average returns in February of this year, and is up from -0.65% returns throughout October. The Preqin Hedge Funds (All Strategies & Regions) benchmark halted a run of two consecutive months of losses to post a small gain (+0.70%) in November.
