Veeva Systems Gets a Boost on Earnings

E2open Inc (NASDAQ:EOPN), Veeva Systems Inc (NYSE:VEEV) and ANADIGICS, Inc. (NASDAQ:ANAD) reached midday with noteworthy gains on the market this Wednesday. Seadrill Ltd (NYSE:SDRL), KLA-Tencor Corporation (NASDAQ:KLAC) and Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (ADR) (NASDAQ:CTRP) are taking tumbles.

E2open Inc (NASDAQ:EOPN) climbed +16.13% early in the day, putting its one-month gain at +24.48%. The cloud-based software solutions provider has been in Wilbur Ross’ investment portfolio since the third quarter of 2012. As of the third quarter of this year, the billionaire owns 671,000 EOPN shares.

Veeva Systems Inc (NYSE:VEEV) got a +10.75% jump after topping estimates with its Q3 results and providing a solid outlook for the fourth quarter and full-year 2014. Chase Coleman’s Tiger Global has held 75,000 VEEV shares since Q4 2013.

ANADIGICS, Inc. (NASDAQ:ANAD) hit midday up +8.53%. A designer and manufacturer of radio frequency semiconductor solutions, ANAD has had a rough go in 2014, its price down -56.79% year-to-date.

Seadrill Tumbles on Weak Earnings, Suspends Dividend

Seadrill Ltd (NYSE:SDRL) tumbled -21.44% after posting a weak earnings report. The offshore drilling company posted diluted EPS of $0.31, well below the expected $0.67. The company also announced plans to suspend its quarterly dividend. SDRL has declined -60.6% YTD.

KLA-Tencor Corporation (NASDAQ:KLAC)’s price dipped -20.28% today, crossing below its 200 day moving average. On Monday, JPMorgan Chase & Co. cut its target price on the company from $85 to $83. Despite today’s lost, the stock is still up +3.89% in 2014.

Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (ADR) (NASDAQ:CTRP) fell -10.47% early in the day – the result of disappointing guidance for Q4. A consolidator of hotel accommodations and airline tickets in China, CTRP is an investment holding of both George Soros and Julian Robertson. Its price has climbed +11.98% over the past year.
