Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) has introduced a few new offerings before the start of the holiday season including a new Gift Shop, Holiday Head Start Giveaway and Top 20 Toy List. Customers will be encouraged to check Groupon “today and tomorrow” through The Holiday Head Start Giveaway, and they could be one of the five lucky customers scoring a $10,000 holiday shopping spree, the company announced yesterday.
Groupon focusing on holiday season
Every customer, however, will be able to score in the range of 5% to 100% off any one deal. Those customers who shop at the all-new 2014 Holiday Gift Shop will be able to get some inspiration as well, says Groupon.
The Holiday Head Start Giveaway started on November 5, and the customers can claim their discount or shopping spree until midnight November 6th. Groupon Subscribers are motivated to log in to their Groupon accounts and see their scores. The score will allow them to avail a discount of 5% to 100% on any voucher or item listed on Groupon.com. The discount varies with the score obtained.
Scores in the range of 5% to 25% allow the customers to avail a maximum discount of $50. Maximum discount of up to $100 can be availed by the customers scoring 50% off. Those who score 100% off can avail a discount of $200 max. Furthermore, five lucky customers will receive a $10,000 Holiday Head Start shopping spree from Groupon.com.
Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) says that customers will be able to claim their shopping spree until 11:59 p.m. PST on November 6, 2014 and they will be able to use their shopping spree until 11:59 p.m. PST on Dec. 31, 2014.
Wine labels for the holidays
As part of the preparation for the holidays, Groupon also introduced few wine labels recently. The collection is not very large and only comprises a few options. There are four variants of wine introduced by the company that has got their inspiration from the company’s cat mascot: Snazzy Cat Chardonnay, Top Cat Merlot, Chatty Cat Cabernet Sauvignon and Jazzy Cat Pinot Noir.
A package including six bottles is available for $49.99, and a spokeswoman noted that this is a special deal for the holidays.
