Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930)’s Galaxy Note Edge with curved display will be a ‘limited edition concept.’ But unlike Galaxy Round, it will be sold in several markets around the world. Its edge screen that provides quick access to features such as most used apps, messages and other features has aroused curiosity among consumers.

AT&T and T-Mobile versions of Galaxy Note Edge pass through FCC

Though Samsung hasn’t officially announced the U.S. release date for Galaxy Note Edge, we can expect the device to arrive soon as it has cleared one more regulatory hurdle. GottaBeMobile recently spotted the AT&T Note Edge model number SM-N915A passing through the Federal Communications Commission. The FCC filing didn’t indicate a release date, but it suggests that the device is moving behind the scenes.

GottaBeMobile also spotted the T-Mobile version passing through the FCC certifications. Verizon and Sprint Galaxy Note Edge are the next. Once they go through FCC, Samsung and its telecom partners may announce the release date and pre-orders. U.S. Cellular won’t be carrying the Note Edge on initial release. Along with South Korea, China and Japan, United States is expected to be among the first few countries to get the device.

Galaxy Note Edge to hit Japanese market on Oct.23

Other countries such as the UK and Canada won’t get the Galaxy Note Edge at launch. Samsung Canada has confirmed that the phone won’t arrive in the country until early 2015. A few days ago, Japanese telecom carrier KDDI confirmed that it would start selling the Galaxy Note Edge on October 23. It will initially sell the device in black color only. The white version will arrive in November.

NTT DoCoMo has also specified that it will stock the Galaxy Note Edge in late October. But the company said on its website that it will launch the device between mid-October and mid-November. It hasn’t put a price tag on the device either. Galaxy Note Edge sports a 5.6-inch Youm Display with 2560×1600 resolution. It comes with 3GB RAM, 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 graphics processor, and Android 4.4 KitKat. Like Galaxy Note 4, it also boasts of a 16-megapixel main camera and 3.7-megapixel front snapper.
