Skylanders Trap Team will soon come to mobile devices including iPad, Android, and Kindle. The tablet version will offer the full game experience with console-quality graphics and it’s own high-end controller. The starter kit comes with a Bluetooth TraptaniumPortal, the aforementioned Bluetooth controller, built-in tablet stand, two Skylander characters, two Traps, and a display tray.

The chief executive officer of Activision Publishing, Eric Hirshberg, claims Skylanders has become a huge brand kids around the world love. The tablet computer is also one of the most popular gaming platform for kids, so it would only make sense Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATVI) would combine the two for an exciting new game. Hirshberg added his company wants to deliver breakthrough experiences. The company wants to expand gaming optionst to allow gamers to play wherever they like.
Skylanders Trap Team starts a brand new innovation for the Skylanders franchise with a magic reversal of the signature “Toys-to-Life” play pattern. This game allows players (or Portal Masters) to search for the most wanted villians in Skylands, defeat them, and capture them in magical traps to display in their living rooms. Gamers also have the option to play heroes or villians.
Skylanders mobile version just as good as console version
The tablet version offers the same gameplay experience the console version offers including console-quality graphics. The mobile version features lush, expansive environments which push boundaries in the tech industry. All the toys for this game will be cross-compatible including skills and upgrades.
This Skylanders starter pack will debut on October 5th in North America. It will launch earlier on October 2nd in Australia and later in Europe on October 10th. It will be available on many platforms including iPad, Android, and Kindle Fire tablets. The game will also be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS.
