LG wants to improve the traditional personal computer experience with new monitors. The company is rumored to unveil three new monitors including a curved ultra wide model and 4K display during the IFA event.

LG plans to introduce new computer monitors

Both features are expected to be huge trends at this year’s big tech event. Early on Monday morning, LG reported it would introduce the first ever curved monitor with ultra wide 21:9 aspect ratio with the screen measuring at 34 inches diagonally. It also features 3440 x 1440 pixel resolution. Like similar curved models, the LG 34UC97 model will feature an immersive experience with both PC and MAC compatibility.

LG is also set to introduce the Digital Cinema 4K Monitor (also referred to as 31MU97) complete with a 31-inch screen and 4096 x 2160 pixel resolution. This model can reproduce 99 percent of Adobe RGB color space. It also comes with calibration software.

Last, but certainly not least, LG will also release the 24GM77 model which was designed for serious gamers. This monitor features a 24-inch screen as well as a refresh rate of 144Hz to prevent screen flicker. For now, LG has yet to announce more performance details. The tech giant also has yet to announce official prices or shipping information.

LG also plans to unveil new smartwatch

LG is also expected to unveil G Watch 2 during the IFA. This smartwatch is expected to feature an OLED display, Google Voice recognition, and an unspecified Qualcomm processor chip. This watch is expected to be a direct competitor against the upcoming iWatch, which is rumored to debut in September.

The IFA event will be held in Berlin during September 5th through 10th. This large electronics trade show will include smaller events and exhibits from many companies around the world including Acer, Epson, JVC, Pioneer Electronics, and more. It is one of the key worldwide technology expos.
