Fully Assembled iPhone 6 Will Look Like This [Images]

We have heard rumors and seen leaked images of various iPhone 6 components such as the front panel, back panel, logic board, battery pack, among others. As Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s September 9 keynote approaches, we have been seeing leaked components on an almost daily basis. For instance, we have already seen the images of front panel and back panel of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6.

iPhone 6 design borrows heavily from the iPad

But now luxury iPhone customizer Feld & Volk gives us the clearest look at what the fully assembled iPhone 6 would look like. Feld & Volk’s images show the front panel’s slightly tapered edges that complement the round edges of the real shell. The side view shows how thin the iPhone 6 will be. Reports suggest that Apple’s newest phone will be slimmer than the iPhone 5S, which is 7.6mm thick.

It has completely redesigned pill-shaped volume buttons. The iPhone 6 also has the iPad-like speaker holes on the bottom. Shell images also point to a round True Tone flash, a relocated right-side power button, and an embedded Apple logo. Note here that these pictures depict unfinished iPhone 6 components that are in rough condition, says MacRumors. Apple’s new smartphone will look more polished.

4.7-inch iPhone 6 to come with 1424 x 878-pixel resolution

What’s more, Feld & Volk published a close-up image of the iPhone 6 display, suggesting that the 4.7-inch version will have a 1424 x 878-pixel resolution. Previously, Feld & Volk had claimed that the smaller of the two models will sport a 1704 x 960 pixel screen. But that’s headed for the 5.5-inch phablet. Latest reports suggest that Apple will launch a new version of its Lightning USB cable that could be plugged into a USB port either way.

Separately, Credit Suisse analyst Thompson Wu said in a research note that Pegatron Corporation (TPE:4938) will be producing 33 million units of the iPhone 6 this year. Notably, Apple has asked its suppliers to produce at least 80 million units of the new phone by the end of this year. The device entered production last month. The tech giant will also roll out the iOS 8 alongside the iPhone 6.

Apple shares rose 0.35% to $100.88 in pre-market trading Wednesday.
