World War 3 Conspiracies Sparked By Malaysian Airlines Crash

Updated on

World War 3 has been on many people’s minds lately. Whenever something bad happens, the subject gets brought up again. This time around, conspiracy theorists are having a field day, with some saying the mysterious Illuminati are involved with the crash of the Malaysian Airlines flight yesterday, others suggesting that aliens did it, and still others saying that pro-Russia separatists did it because they want to start World War 3.

Does Russia really want World War 3?

Both Ukraine and the pro-Russia separatists accuse each other of shooting down the Malaysian Airlines flight. Because the event may have drawn other nations into the fight between Russia and Ukraine because citizens of other nations were on the plane, many are saying that World War 3 is imminent. The U.S. recently imposed even tougher sanctions on Russia, so the idea that Russia wants to draw other countries into the crisis seems popular on social media. The Malaysia Chronicle says Russian President Vladimir Putin is the only man who can avert World War 3 and that he can do it by ordering the pro-Russia separatists to stop fighting with Kiev.

Investigators are now converging on the crash site in an effort to determine exactly who is responsible, but in the meantime, there are a lot of weird ideas floating around.

Assassination of Vladimir Putin?

Interfax, which was the main source of the earliest reports of the crash of flight MH17, claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s jet was going along nearly the same flight path as the Malaysian Airlines plane. As a result, it’s suggested that someone was trying to assassinate Putin and simply shot down the wrong plane. Sources told the Russian agency that the two jets look fairly similar.

Russia Today, however, claims Interfax’s report is wrong, as other media state that Putin’s jet wasn’t flying in the same area at the same time.

Aliens and / or Illuminati are crashing our planes?

The source of the rumor about the Illuminati and the ones about aliens seems to be IlluminatiWatcher.com, which points to comments made by “experts” who say it’s unlikely that Russia or pro-Russia rebels in Ukraine had anything to do with it. Also the rebels aren’t claiming responsibility. In the post, the website suggests that aliens were responsible for the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, which has yet to be found.

For those who aren’t familiar with the Illuminati, the organization has been in existence since 1776. At that time, the group was formed to oppose superstition and the influence of religion on everyday life, as well as governmental abuses of power and gender rights. Now, however, the group has been implicated in numerous conspiracy theories like the shooting down of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 on Thursday. In general, some accuse the group of trying to control the world through major events.

It’s in the numbers (supposedly)

Illuminati Watcher then points to comments made by IMF leader Christine Lagarde regarding numerology and suggests that the international bank was involved with the crash of flight MH17 because of the number 777. Some believe the IMF is linked to the Illuminati. One Reddit user also pointed to other sevens in flight MH17, which has supposedly been flying for 17 years and, of course, did crash on the 17th day of the seventh month.

Also both the missing Malaysian Airlines flight and the one that crashed in Ukraine were Boeing 777 aircraft. Hmmm. By that measurement there should be a lot more flights disappearing or being shot down because it is one of the company’s best-selling models. Also the writer references the TV series The Event, in which an aircraft passes through a vortex and ends up somewhere in Arizona for no apparent reason.

CNN did it?

Social media turned to cable TV news network CNN, claiming that the network did it for ratings. CNN’s ratings dropped dramatically when it kept covering the disappearance of flight MH370 even after viewers’ interest in the news had waned.
