Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:0059935), on Wednesday, has teased a new Exynos SoC on its official Twitter page, which may be used in the much awaited Galaxy Note 4. While the rumor mill are churning from quite a while now that the new Exynos to be used in the upcoming flagships including the Galaxy Note 4, the South Korean manufacturer is yet to confirm anything from its end.
Samsung updated the status saying, “Tomorrow [Thursday] we have something new and exciting to show you. Stay tuned!” the company wrote on Twitter, adding the image above.
Exynos to open more markets for Samsung
According to e-magazine SamMobile, the Korean firm will reveal Exynos 5433 SoC, which would be integrated in the new phablet. The processor is said to be powered with the Intel XMM7260 Cat. Other features include 6 LTE radio, an upgraded Mali GPU, and eight cores, including four Cortex-A15 cores and four Cortex-A7 cores. The said integration will allow Samsung to offer Exynos in more countries along with offering Snapdragon processors for other markets.
Whether the new Exynos will be a 64-bit is under wraps as of now, though there are chances that Google will, also, pose 64-bit architecture in future Android versions. There was already a glimpse of Exynos 5433 in the benchmark results. According to a recent AnTuTu filing, the upcoming Exynos 5433 SoC is faster that the Snapdragon 805, which is said to be integrated in another version of Galaxy Note 4.
Will Galaxy Note 4 have Exynos?
The new Galaxy Note 4, expected to get Exynos SoC, could be launched at IFA 2014 in September. Latest rumors revealed that Samsung would offer the Galaxy Note 4 in four color variants, reportedly electric Blue, copper Gold, White and Black. Whether the phone will have curve or flat screen is still unknown. The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to have 3GB or 4GB of RAM with 5.7 inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Full details of the processor are expected to be revealed by the company today. Samsung has already confirmed that it will launch a 64-bit processor this year, which would probably be Exynos 5433.
