Apple’s New MacBook Pro Comes with Retina Display

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) announced that its new MacBook Pro is upgraded with retina display that features a stunning high-resolution screen. The device also comes with a faster processor, powerful graphics and an amazingly thin design of 0.71 inches.

According to the Cupertino-based tech giant, the MacBook pro offers up to nine hours of battery life and its memory has been doubled in both entry-level configurations.

In a statement, Philip Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing at Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) said, “People love their MacBook Pro because of the thin and light, aluminum unibody design, beautiful Retina display, all day battery life and deep integration with OS X.”

Schiller emphasized, “The MacBook Pro with retina display gets even better with a faster processor, more memory, more affordable configurations and a free upgrade to OS X Yosemite this fall.”

Pricing for 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is now offering the 15-inch MacBook Pro with a standard RAM of 16GB, two times bigger than the previous 8GB. The tech giant also lowered the starting price of the notebook to $2,499.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro comes with a faster quad-core Intel Core i7 processor up to 2.5 GHz with Turbo Boost speeds as fast as 3.7 GHz. According to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), consumers will be able to configure the 15-inch entry-level notebook with quad-core Intel Core i7 processors up to 2.8 GHz with Turbo Boost speeds up to 4.0 GHz

Pricing for 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is offering the entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display for $1,299. The notebook comes with 2.8 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 12GB of PCIe-based flash storage and 8GB of RAM, which doubles the 4GB RAM of the previous model.

Consumers will be able to configure the 13-inch entry-level McBook Pro with Retina display with a faster 3.0 GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 processor.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) reduced the price of the non-Retina 13-inch MacBook Pro by $100 to $1,099.

Free productivity apps

The tech giant said all of the new MacBook Pro with Retina display comes with iLife and iWork productivity apps.

iLife allows users to edit their favorite videos with iMovie, create new music or learn to musical instruments such as piano or guitar with GarageBand. It also enables users to edit, organize and share their best images through iPhoto.

The iWork productivity apps, Pages, Numbers and Keynote, enables users easily to create, edit and share documents, spreadsheets and presentations. According to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), the iWork for iCloud beta allows users to create a document on the iPhone or iPad, edit on Mac and collaborate with friends using a PC.
