The latest pictures of the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPhone 6 were posted by Taiwanese singer/actor/race driver Jimmy Lin as he posted a selfie with the next-gen phone, according to a report from Wiebo. Although there are no guarantees, Lin’s photographs can be given more credit than some sources considering his strong track record.
Lin showed Apple iPhone 5C also
In 2013, Jimmy Lin also posted pictures of the then rumored iPhone 5C, and this year the star is flashing the iPhone 6. Lin stated that the iPhone 6 will have a 4.7” screen and the antenna are outside the phone. The corners are rounded, which would enable the user to get a better grip on the phone, but the matte aluminum body might be slippery. The power key of the phone is situated on the right side and there is apparently no Dual-LED flash this time.
Suspense over iPhone 6 release date
Reports regarding the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone release have been conflicting, with some claiming the release will be in June, others betting on September. Analyst Brian White of Cantor Fitzgerald, who has a credible track record of forecasting release date, said that the flagship will be released in September and the larger version will be unveiled in October. The analyst stated that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has broadened its product pipeline, which indicates a device release this fall. “As such, we are confident that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 will be launched this year,” says White.
Another report from Japanese news service Nikkei noted that the new iPhone will be released in October. As of now, there has not been any confirmation from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) over the new iPhone “phablet” or the “iWatch”.
No headphone jack either?
A recent rumor claimed that the iPhone 6 will not have headphone jack set. The news certainly has caused some customers to wonder and fume. One of the iPhone fans said that his expensive Beats Audio headphone will be useless if Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) applies the changed design. Two years back the loyal fans got into similar fix, when Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) replaced its 30-pin input on iPhones with a smaller connector. Users could not connect external speakers, expensive charging units and docking stations with the new iPhone and they were forced to buy an adapter costing $30.
“I already carry around two chargers, one for my iPhone and one for my iPad,” complained Nicole Haworth, 26. “I don’t understand why Apple needs to keep changing things.”
