Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) expanded its cold beverage portfolio in time for the summer season with the addition of Fizzio handcrafted sodas and Teavana shaken iced teas.
Classic flavors with a twist
According to Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) , the Fizzio handcrafted sodas are carbonated and it will introduce three classic flavors including spiced root beer, golden ginger and lemon ale with Starbuck’s twist.
“Fizzio handcrafted sodas are rooted in classic flavors, but with a signature twist to deliver an experience unlike other sodas. The soda creation begins with batch brewing real, premium ingredients to develop complex and layered flavors, and each Fizzio beverage is individually handcrafted for each customer, according to Starbucks Corporation.(NASDAQ:SBUX).

In a statement, Starbucks group president for U.S., Americas and Teavana, Cliff Burrows said the company decided to introduce Fizzio handcrafted sodas and Teavana shaken iced teas after learning that customer are looking for more refreshing, cold beverages during the summer season.
Burrows also said that Fizzio handcrafted soda is different from any soda available on the market because it is handcrafted and made-to-order every time. According to him, “The addition of Fizzio and Teavana iced teas gives our customers more refreshing beverage choices made with the premium ingredients they expect from Starbucks.”
The world’s largest coffee chain operator said each Fizzio handcrafted soda does not contain artificial flavors, preservatives or high fructose corn syrup. each soda has 100 calories or less in a grande (16 fl. oz). The sodas will be available at select Starbucks stores in the United States.
Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) said it will also start selling new and returning flavors of Teavana iced tea this summer. The Teavana Blackberry Mojito Tea Lemonade is a new flavor while Teavana Peach Green Tea Lemonade is a returning favorite and will be available nationwide in the U.S. and Canada starting tomorrow.
Starbucks’ breakfast and lunch offerings
Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) has improved its breakfast and lunch offerings over the past few years and has now expanded even further, according to Burrows. The company introduced a variety of lunch options for customers to pair with its cold beverages including the new Turkey Pesto Panini, New Old-Fashioned Grilled Cheese, Hearty Salad Bowls, Panini and Cold Sandwiches.
Burrows said, “Refreshing beverages made with premium ingredients deserve to be paired with exceptional food, which is why we’re offering an array of wholesome options for our customers.”
