Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Leak Reveals Specs

Updated on

Images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet were recently leaked, and the photos show some interesting specifications. SamMobile reports that the American version could be powered by a 27 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and feature a 16-megapixel camera with OIS (optical image stabilization) and quad-HD display.

Possible specs for the upcoming Galaxy Note 4

There is no word on how big the device will be, however, one previous leak suggested that the phone will feature a 5.7-inch QHD display complete with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels. This would make the phone’s display as large as the Galaxy Note 3 but with better resolution.

It is predicted that Samsung will release the Galaxy Note 4 around the same time Apple releases the iPhone 6, either in late August or early September.

Exciting possibilities for Samsung

Earlier this year, SamMobile discussed possible upcoming devices. The website only recently was able to report confirmations and corrections on the previous report. The rumored KQ / KQLTE device was cancelled. The initial suggestions for Samsung’s Galaxy S5 being released with a Prime version make more sense, however, industry reports indicate that the South Korean tech giant is increasing 20nm production next month. This means a no-go for the supposed previous plans. The delay also means the Exynos 5430 will be replaced by the Exynos 5433. SamMobile has yet to confirm just what this change means in terms of specs, but fans can expect a faster version.

Surprisingly, this all blurs the line for the G906 (which also goes by the codename lentistle). This project is not a direct successor to the S5, but it reportedly features the Snapdragon 805 chipset and FHD screen. It will also be exclusive to Korea, available through all three carriers, including SKT, KTT, and LGU. It is not known what device the Galaxy F will be, but the website can confirm that the Galaxy S5 successor with 5433 and Intel’s XMM7260 will soon make its debut.
