Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has hired 200 security personnel in China to prevent the leaks of iPhone 6. But leakers, concept designers and well-connected analysts keep coming up with new things about the device. Popular gadget blogger TechSmartt has come up with a YouTube video that puts both models of the iPhone 6 against the current iPhone 5S, LG G3 and Galaxy Note 3.

TechSmartt said that it obtained dummy units of the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 from case makers. Previously, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) used to provide case partners with dimensions of its new devices before launch. But this time the company has supplied case partners with dummy units, reports Forbes. TechSmatt was able to obtain one.
The 7-minute long video shows that the phablet 5.5-inch iPhone 6 is wider and taller than 5.5-inch LG G3 and 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3. That’s because, unlike its rivals, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has decided not to shrink top and bottom bezels. The 4.7-inch version of the upcoming iPhone is almost similar in size to most 5-inch devices. However, both models are thinner than their predecessors, which is in line with previous reports. Contrary to rumors, neither models have a curved display, and they both have flat backs.
iPhone 6 to track weather, air pressure and altitude
The iPhone 6 is widely expected to be launched in September this year, possibly with the iWatch. The smartphone will reportedly have numerous sensors to track air pressure, weather and altitude. A built-in barometer will forecast changes in the air pressure and provide instant weather readings. It could be useful to bikers, runners, and mountain climbers.
The iPhone 6 will run on the recently announced iOS 8, which brings several new features. It will have a health & fitness monitoring app HealthKit. The upcoming OS is likely to introduce a Flyover City tours feature in the Maps app that could take users on a virtual sightseeing trip of major cities. All these features would come with a higher price tag. Reports suggest that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) plans to raise price of the device by $100.
