According to the most recent statistics from Pornhub, one of the largest free pornography sites on the web, a growing number of tablet users are visiting their site, and almost three-quarters of the tablet users viewing porn on their site are iPad users running a Safari browser.

Statement from Pornhub

Pornhub published its latest visitor statistics and offered some discussion in a company blog post. “Over the past year, Pornhub has seen a major shift in the types of traffic coming to our site,” wrote a company spokesperson in a blog. “Of the 38 million people who visit Pornhub each day, over half are now using mobile devices like tablets and smartphones.”

Apple’s iPad with Safari tops porn viewing by browser

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPad was by far the most used tablet on Pornhub, with Safari taking a 73% of the tablet visitor. Google Chrome, which is available for most tablets, came in second place, but was only used by 13.6% of Pornhub visitors.

The Android browser in Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s mobile software came in third place with 7.8% of users accessing Pornhub using it. Amazon’s Kindle Fire browser Silk only racked up 4.8% of users and BlackBerry’s Playbook came in at the bottom of the heap with a mere 0.69% of visitors using it.

The blog posted also noted that desktop browsers were still used by more than quarter of Pornhub’s visitors, with Chrome representing 44.4% of visitors, with Internet Explorer in second place with a 23.2% share. Mozilla Firefox came in third with 20.1%, Safari fourth with 7% and Opera just had 2.6%.

Apple iPhone users also avid porn viewers
