Updated on

Today’s top gainers midday are SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY), WhiteWave Foods Co (NYSE:WWAV) and Criteo SA (ADR) (NASDAQ:CRTO). The losers are Gulfport Energy Corporation (NASDAQ:GPOR), Interval Leisure Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:IILG) and Teradata Corporation (NYSE:TDC).

SolarCity Soars on Results

Jumping +17.63% after reporting better-than-expected results is SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY), a designer and seller of solar systems. The Tiger Global has cut its YTD losses to -1.25%.

WhiteWave Foods Co (NYSE:WWAV), a John Paulson allocation, surged +10.86%. It also posted strong results and is now up +28.51% YTD.

Web advertising company Criteo SA (ADR) (NASDAQ:CRTO) has a nice start to the day as well, up +10.69%. Its guidance release was mixed, but it seems to be enough to keep investors pleased.

Soros Picks GPOR, IILG, TDC Disappoint

Gulfport Energy Corporation (NASDAQ:GPOR) is the biggest midday loser this Thursday, its price falling -18.41%. The operator of oil and gas fields in the Louisiana Gulf Coast area missed expectations with its results release and took a dive at midday trading. Boone Pickens, Richard Chilton and George Soros all hold shares of GPOR.

It’s also been a tough day for Soros bet Interval Leisure Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:IILG), which dipped -15.55% after revealing worse-than-expected results.

Teradata Corporation (NYSE:TDC), however, reported rather strong results, though it lowered its 2014 guidance on expectations of lower sales figures for the full year. IN turn, its stock price fell -9.87% midday. This is yet another Soros pick.
