The company added to its positions in Liberty Media Corp (NASDAQ:LMCA) and Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) and entered eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY) and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (ADR) (NYSE:TEVA).

Jana Partners’ exits and decreases
The firm dumped completely out of American Axle & Manufact. Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AXL), unloading nearly 6.7 million shares of that stock. Jana Partners also dumped all of its nearly 10.5 million shares of Huntsman Corporation (NYSE:HUN) and all of its approximately 9.7 million shares of Safeway Inc. (NYSE:SWY). Other exits of note were Allegion PLC (NYSE:ALLE) and Sears Holdings Corp (NASDAQ:SHLD).
Jana Partners slashed its position in General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) by 99%, unloading almost 8 million shares and leaving just 51 shares left in its portfolio. The fund also sold almost 4.7 million shares of Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE:JNPR), Liberty Interactive (Ventures group) (NASDAQ:LVNTA) and Ashland Inc (NYSE:ASH).

During the first three months of the year, Jana Partners snapped up nearly 3.9 million shares of eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY) and 1 million shares of EP Energy Corp (NYSE:EPE). The firm purchased more than 2 million shares of and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (ADR) (NYSE:TEVA) and nearly 3.9 million shares of Liberty Interactive (Interactive group) (NASDAQ:LINTA). Jana Partners also grabbed more than 3.9 million shares of Sunedison Inc (NYSE:SUNE).
Jana Partners increased its position in American International Group Inc (NYSE:AIG) by 12,841%, snapping up more than 6.4 million additional shares of the insurance provider’s stock. It raised its position in Liberty Media Corp (NASDAQ:LMCA) by 322% and its position in Walgreen Company (NYSE:WAG) by 65%.
Other key increases were Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI), which the firm purchased nearly 22.3 million more shares of, and Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN), which Jana bought almost 10 million more shares of.
