Hillshire Brands Picks Up Competitor But Posts Losses Midday

Nimble Storage Inc (NYSE:NMBL), Criteo SA (ADR) (NASDAQ:CRTO) and Enphase Energy Inc (NASDAQ:ENPH) are starting off the week strong and this Monday’s top gainers midday. The losers are Hillshire Brands Co (NYSE:HSH), Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) and BioFuel Energy (NASDAD:BIOF).

Nimble Storage Surges

Nimble Storage Inc (NYSE:NMBL) surged +14.62% midday today as Needham & Company upgraded its rating. The Tiger Global pick is still down -47.79% YTD.

Jumping +8.99% is Criteo SA (ADR) (NASDAQ:CRTO), rebounding from last week’s -16.11% loss. Results for the company, also a Tiger Global asset, were released on May 6th.

Daniel Loeb investment Enphase Energy Inc (NASDAQ:ENPH) is last, up +8.59%. The solar systems manufacturer widens its YTD gain to +37.04%.

Hillshire Brands Slips

Down -6.47%, today’s biggest loser midday is Hillshire Brands Co (NYSE:HSH), even after its purchase of rival Pinnacle Foods hit the news. George Soros has a position in the company.

Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) slipped -2.87%. The George Soros and Carl Icahn pick is down -23.76% this year.

And although data today showed that the solar industry is quite the job-growth driver, BioFuel Energy Corp. (NASDAQ:BIOF) lost -2.52%. Despite today’s slight dip, the company is up +261.99% this year alone – meaning nice profits for investors David Einhorn and Daniel Loeb.
