In addition, the company is developing a new smartphone with a square screen and integrated with a 1440 x 1440 resolution and pixel density of 453 DPI. According to the Canadian smartphone manufacturer, the BlackBerry Classic, powered by the BlackBerry 10.3.1 OS, will be available in the market this year.

BlackBerry Z3 Jakarta Edition
Yesterday BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) launched its new BlackBerry Z3 Jakarta Edition, a low-cost touchscreen smartphone specially designed for consumers in Indonesia. The company also plans to introduce the device in India, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The Z3 Jakarta Edition is the first smartphone released by the company under the leadership of new CEO John Chen.
In a statement, Chen said, “From conception to delivery, the BlackBerry Z3 Jakarta Edition was designed specifically with our Indonesian customers in mind.”
During the launching of the smartphone at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Jakarta, Chen said, “If the market doesn’t receive this product well, then we definitely have some negative issues to deal with.” Chen expects that BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) will be able to sell millions of the BlackBerry Z3 Jakarta Edition smartphone.
