BlackBerry Ltd BES10 Receives Further Investment From SAIC

BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) revealed a few days ago that Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is doubling down on BES10. SAIC wishes to expand the investment it has already made in the enterprise mobility management (EMM) in BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES10). SAIC serves the public and private sector technical, engineering and enterprise IT markets with a variety of services and solutions.

BES 10 is a multi-platform solutions

SAIC is making a real attempt at enabling management of all devices no matter which operating system they run on. Therefore, BlackBerry Enterprise Servers have been upgraded to BES10, and this means they can manage BlackBerry 10 devices as well as devices that run Android and iOS operating systems. SAIC’s multi-operating system environment will be secure and BES10’s single management console will help streamline  operations for administrators.

“Implementing BlackBerry’s BES10 server provides us with a single management point to support mobile device communications,” said Robert Fecteau, CIO of SAIC. “This helps reduce overhead costs and allows us to focus training and development on enhancing skills needed to fully support secure mobility operations within the SAIC enterprise.”

BlackBerry technology separates personal and official data

SAIC has deployed BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) BES10 smartphones for their high security standards and the ability to protect both corporate and client data. BES10 uses Secure Work Space for iOS and Android for the purpose of providing a multi-platform containerization solution to be managed through BES 10.

This technology makes possible to securely separate sensitive corporate data from  personal content. This enables in the creation of a secure work space that also offers the flexibility of a BYOD program with easy to manage mobile communications. Customers can make use of this efficient multi-platform solution to manage BlackBerry, iOS and Android devices from a single platform that is highly secure and reliable. Almost 33,000 BES10 commercial and test servers have been installed around the world.
