GTA 5 will soon make its debut on Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Xbox One, Sony’s PS4 and PC, according to a tweet from a German retail manager. Rockstar, the developer of GTA, has not yet announced anything about the game being launched on these devices, but the game maker has also not denied the news. GTA 5 was launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013.

The tweet from the manager read (Google translated version), “Since I asked what degree: The release of # GTAV . for PC, XBOX and PS4 One is expected in June # rumors # abgenickt.”

GTA 5 breaking records

Just a week after the release, GTA 5 was an immense hit, and has been named in the Guinness Book of World Record seven times. It has been the fastest product in the entertainment industry to garner sales of $1 billion.  A couple of months back, Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTWO) (the force behind Rockstar Games and consequently Grand Theft Auto V) for the third quarter, stated that it sold a total of 32.5 million units of GTA 5 in 2013. There was no clarification whether more games was sold for Xbox or PS.  Revenue of the firm surged to $767 million compared to the $405 million in 2012, for the same quarter.

Users waiting eagerly

GTA 5 is expected to drive the sales ahead in fiscal 2014 as well after the game is released on the Xbox one and Playstation 4. The rumors suggest that it will be launched on the devices by June.  Not just Xbox and PS 4 players, but PC gamers are also waiting for the game eagerly. U.K. retailer Gamesholds.com is already taking pre-orders to deliver the game when it arrives on these platforms.

Last month, GTA 5 was loaded with two more DLC weapons- “Special Carbine” and the “Heavy Pistol.” The new weapons can be used in both GTA 5 online and the GTA 5 story mode. The player can buy the carbine online for around $14000.
