BioFuel Energy Corp. (NASDAQ:BIOF) surged an impressive +34.49%. It has been an outstanding month for BIOF following Greenlight Capital’s decision to move forward with an acquisition proposal. Shares of BIOF are now up +373.58% YTD.
SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) jumped +10.18% following the announcement of its quarterly results, posting better-than-expected revenue and margin numbers. Ray Dalio and George Soros have positions in SNDK.
Rounding out today’s list of gainers is in-flight content provider Global Eagle Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:ENT), up +6.64% after it releasing a new product line and announcing a new partnership with cruise ships.
International Tower Hill Mines Continues Downward Trend
It’s been a tough couple of days for International Tower Hill Mines Ltd (NYSEMKT:THM), which dipped -5.49% midday today and is down more than -15% over the past week. The John Paulson pick is up +63.95% YTD.
Bitauto Hldg Ltd (ADR) (NYSE:BITA) dipped -4.56% midday this Thursday after yesterday’s jump. BITA is in the portfolios of Tiger Global Management and George Soros.
