Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) may update two new MacBook Air computers tomorrow. This report comes from 9-to-5 Mac. This website’s sources also report shipments of the new computers have already begun arriving at large quantities to Apple retail stores throughout the country.

There was another source which claimed Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) retail stores planned re-arrange placement of iMacs keeping the focus on the new MacBook Air.

Apple to update MacBook Air

On Tuesday, we can expect updated 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air laptops. The devices were given code names J41A and J43A. The updates are not supposed to be significant. The main change with the new MacBooks is the Intel Haswell chip. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will also probably change Air’s storage.

Earlier this month, TechPowerUp explained, “According to sources in the IT retail, Intel could launch these new chips, led by the Core i7-4790K, on May 10th in most markets […] Intel Core “Haswell” Refresh processors offer marginally better performance over current Core “Haswell” chips, at existing price points (i.e., they will displace existing chips from their current price-points).The 9-series chipset offers features such as M.2 SSD support, making you ready for a tidal wave of 1000 MB/s SSDs that will launch around Computex. ”

Later on this year, Apple will reportedly release a milestone MacAir. This update will likely include a thinner design, Retina display, Intel chip, and no fan. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will likely debut this model during the 2nd or 3rd quarter of this year.

2014 could be a key year for Apple

The Cupertino-based tech giant is also expected to release a sixth generation full-sized iPad later this year. This device is likely to measure 9.7 inches, and feature higher resolution display with pixels-per-inch of 30% to 40% higher than the current iPad tablet. Tech fans are also patiently waiting for the highly anticipated iPhone 6 later this year.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s chief executive officer Tim Cook mentioned 2014 will be a significant year for Apple products.
