Google Naps Lists The Best Places To Take A Nap

Updated on

Who would have thought that one day we’d have a parody to the ever-popular Google Maps? Created by a group of Dutch users, Google Naps (as the name suggests) allows you to discover the best places for a snooze.

Google Naps: A tool for locating best places for taking a nap

The site would help you when you’re in dire need to take a nap, but don’t know about the nearest bench, bed or a comfy place where you can take a nap. Google Naps is created on top of Google Maps, and you can navigate this map and use the zoom in or zoom out buttons to find a place for a nap. A search bar would have been great, but for now you’ll have to manually find the place. When you launch the site, it asks for permission to access your current location so that it can provide better suggestions on your location.

The site lists locations like London, South Africa, China, Indonesia, Portugal, India, Brazil and the USA. If you want to add a napping location, then simply click on the map and then add the required details, and click on the Save and close button.

A statement on the site tries to please the Googlers by saying:

Dear Sergey & Larry (and other Googlers)
Hello, please don’t be mad this is just a joke, a parody. We don’t mean to damage your brand or anything, we just want to bring a smile on the faces of Google fans. So please don’t take this to court, we only have a few hundred Euros in the bank. And we also don’t want to go to jail because we’re too busy with other things at the moment. But whenever you are in the Netherlands you can have a nap on our couch if you want, just e-mail us. We can also make coffee and bake eggs if you like that (for a small price).

Well, hopefully Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) will take this new tool lightly and understand the funny side of this tool, because we’re pretty sick of seeing companies sue people.
