Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) (BIT: NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V)’s rumored Android powered smartphone, which is expected to make its debut sometime later this month, will cost around $110 according to WMPoweruser. Nokia is expected to unveil the product during a press conference, in the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show on February 24.

Normandy not fully Android

Until now, there has been no clarity over the price point of the budget phone, but the report from the website noted that the Nokia X A110 or Nokia Normandy or Nokia X surfaced on the website of the Vietnamese online retailer. On the website, the phone was priced at $110 while Nokia Lumia 525 showed a price tag of $160.

There have been many speculations surrounding the Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT: NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) Android device with one or the other images surfacing over the web in the last few months. The Finish phone maker would be pitching to the developing markets through the low priced phone, which would be powered by the Android operating system.

Though the phone would run on the Android operating system, it will not have access to the Google Play. The Normandy phones would reportedly access the services created by Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT: NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), including HERE maps and Mix Radio. Also, Nokia would provide the users its own app store with most sought after Android apps, such as Skype, Facebook, and Twitter to name a few.

Nokia may give a Valentine’s Day gift

There were some pictures a few days back on Snapchat showing that Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT: NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) could unveil a product on Valentine’s Day. According to the rumors, the company could bring out its WP8 phone, the Lumia 630 on February 14th. Lumia 630 would probably have dual-SIM capacity while other specs are not known. The speculations suggest that another phone could also be launched on the same day, probably the Lumia 870 or an upcoming WP8, but little is known about the launch and the devices’ features and specs.

Nokia X, more popularly known as Normandy, would be an Android phone, and will launch in India somewhere in March after being showcased at MWC. Nokia X is expected to be a low-budget phone with 4-inch (480×800) display, dual core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, 5MP rear-facing camera, Android 4.4 Kitkat, and lastly 1500mAh battery fitted inside. Design of Nokia X is expected to be similar to its Asha series.
