iPhone 6 To Have iOS 7.2 OS Rather Than iOS 8 [REPORT]

Updated on

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPhone 6 will have the iOS 7.2 operating system rather than iOS 8, claims Korean research firm KDB Daewoo Securities. We have already seen multiple reports and leaks from reliable sources that the iPhone 6 is going to feature iOS 8 that has health & fitness monitoring as its key highlight. Other reports have even claimed that Apple is likely to announce the iOS 8 at WWDC in June. So, KDB Daewoo’s report is a bit surprising. The top brokerage firm in South Korea has several inside sources who have accurately told it the features and plans of upcoming electronic devices in the past.

iPhone 6 in two sizes

KDB Daewoo Securities said that, like dozens of reports have claimed, the iPhone 6 will come in two models this year. One will feature a 4.7-inch display while the phablet version will have a 5.5-inch screen. That’s in line with what Foxconn Technology Co., Ltd. (TPE:2354) insiders claimed earlier. KDB Daewoo said that the standard iPhone 6 will have a full HD resolution with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. But the phablet model will have a Quad HD resolution with 2,272 x 1,280 pixels.

Among other things, the brokerage firm said that the iPhone 6 features will be similar to the iPhone 5S. It will have a 2GB RAM, 8MP front camera, 3.2Mp secondary camera and internal storage options of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. The iPhone 6 will be powered by 1,800 mAh battery and the 64-bit A8 processor. Finally, KDB Daewoo Securities said that the iPhone 6 is likely to be released during the second or third quarter this year. But other reports from solid sources have said that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will maintain the September release for iPhone 6.
