HTC is soon going to announce the successor to the HTC One, which is codenamed the HTC M8. The new device is now leaked in all its glory, all thanks to the popular Twitter handle @Evleaks who regularly posts leaked photos.

Gold variant of HTC One 2014 gets leaked

This press image leak shows off a gold variant of HTC One, and clearly displays how the smartphone will look from front and back. Some rumors suggest that the smartphone will be officially named the HTC One 2014 edition, although we’ll only know about this when it is officially announced by the company.

The design of this smartphone resembles last year’s device, but this one has dual color LED flash and dual-camera on the rear. The second camera on the back might indicate some advanced photo capturing technique, which HTC won’t forget to do some marketing for. If the captured photos are really of that high quality, even in low light, then we don’t mind HTC advertising about this phone’s camera department. As per the leaked image, the phone lacks physical or capacitive buttons on the front.

Specs and release date of HTC One 2014

The HTC One 2014 model is said to feature a 5-inch 1080p display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone would feature Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Also as you might have guessed, it would come with Sense 6.0 UI skin, and in the press shot above, we can see the interface of BlinkFeed on the home screen.

Talking about the release date of HTC One 2014 (or M8), it is expected to be announced at the March 25th event, for which invitations are already sent to the press.
