Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) wants to make it easier for users to work with Windows 8.1. The computer giant just published the Windows 8.1 Power User Guide for Business.

This PDF guide offers tips on how to use some of the operating system’s most important features. This 17-page document covers many topics including Internet Explorer 11, Mobility Center, File Explorer, the desktop, the taskbar, and SkyDrive. The only real downside to this document is that it covers the topics in a brief manner with a focus on specific features. Those who want more a more in-depth guide or who want something that addresses other issues may have to look elsewhere.
Highlights that come with the update include the return of the Start button, more applications, Bing smart search, Internet Explorer 11, and more multitasking capabilities.
Key upgrades for Windows operating system
Another benefit that comes built-in with Windows 8 is SkyDrive, a free cloud storage service. This allows users to store their files in a safe cloud which can be accessed anywhere. The user wouldn’t have to worry about carrying around a USB flash drive or investing in a larger storage drive. Users can access the same files on all computers and tablets. The official Windows website explained, “Getting started with SkyDrive is easy. You can add files already on your PC to SkyDrive by either copying them over or moving them from your PC. When you save new files, you can choose to save them to SkyDrive so you can get to them from any device and share them with other people. And, if your PC has a built-in camera, you can automatically save copies of the photos in your camera roll to SkyDrive, so you’ll always have a backup.”
The update also includes Internet Explorer 11, a nice upgrade from the previous browser. Key features include safer browser, speedier searches, more fluidity, and better touch capabilities.
