The iPad Air and iPad Mini are now available at Staples retail stores. The current iPad Air starts at just $499 and the iPad Mini with Retina display starts at $399.

Staples now sells iPad Air

Customers can also get as much as $300 from selling their old iPad and earn 5 percent in credits. Some Staples stores will have the new iPads in stock while other stores have less stock. Apple Insider’s Shane Cole added, “Bringing the iPad in-store marks another milestone in Framingham, Mass.-based Staples’s current alliance with Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), which began last spring when the company started carrying smaller Apple products like the Apple TV and AirPort wireless networking lineup.

The relationship expanded in December with online iPad sales, and it was speculated at the time that Staples would be allowed to carry the tablets in stores if certain performance targets were met. Wednesday’s launch suggests that those targets, which are thought to have included weekly online sales referral quotas for each brick-and-mortar store, were reached.”

iPort launches cool new gadget

Yesterday, one tech company called iPort introduced an All-in-One Charge Case for iPad Air and the new iPad Mini. This includes a tablet case that fits over the iPad, a wireless charger, and a stand. The iPad in the case magnetically attaches to the stand/charger and the tablet can be rotated into three mounting angle and separated orientations (both portrait and landscape). The case was made to stay on the iPad at all times. The dock comes with a power supply charger for charging when connected. The charge case and stand for iPad Air will retail for $119.95 and for the iPad Mini costs $99.95. Both charger sets will start shipping in February.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPad is still the leader in the tablet market and for good reason. These tablets were designed well and feature a quality you won’t find with most other tablets.
