NQ Mobile Inc (ADR) (NYSE:NQ) announced that it entered a strategic partnership agreement with Ingram Micro Mobility to distribute its security applications in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
Under the agreement, Ingram Micro Mobility agreed to distribute NQ Mobile Security, NQ Mobile Vault, and NQ Family Guardian.
Details of the applications
NQ Mobile Security is an application designed to protect users from viruses, malicious URLs, spam, and data-theft. The application currently has millions of active monthly users around the world.
The NQ Mobile Vault is one of the top apps available on Google Play with an average user rating of 4.5 to 5 stars. The app enables users to protect their passwords and encrypt photos, videos, and other important personal information stored in their smartphones.
The NQ Mobile Family Guardian provides a complete mobile protection and monitoring solutions for parents to ensure that the mobile experience of their children are always safe, secure, and within the set boundaries.
In a statement, Jac Currie, president of Ingram Micro Mobility in Europe said his company is excited to work with NQ Mobile Inc (ADR) (NYSE:NQ). According to him, “The strength of NQ Mobile as a mobile security provider complements Ingram Micro’s distribution with 77,000 value-added resellers and enterprise customers.”
On the other hand, Geoff Casely, managing director of NQ Mobile Inc (ADR) (NYSE:NQ) EMEA said that the company’s partnership with Ingram Micro Mobility will further enhance its objective to maintain the safety and privacy of its mobile users in regions where threats are increasing rapidly.

NQ Mobile / Ingram: broad view of both companies
Ingram Micro Mobility is one of the leading providers of mobile device lifecycle services, and one of the largest technology wholesale distributors worldwide. NQ Mobile Inc (ADR) (NYSE:NQ) said its mobile solutions for Android devices are also available to consumers via Google Play store.
Meanwhile, early this month, NQ Mobile Inc (ADR) (NYSE:NQ) proposed some changes to its bylaws as the company faced accusations of fraudulent practices particularly from Muddy Waters, a firm engaged in short selling.
