Galaxy S5 Concept: Curved Display, 16MP Camera, Quad-Speakers

Updated on

Samsung’s Galaxy S5 is undoubtedly one of the most awaited smartphones of 2014. The Galaxy S5 is expected to be released in April 2014. A new concept design by Jashan Preet suggests that the device will have a 5.25-inch curved display with 2k resolution. Though it’s a brilliant concept, recent reports suggest that the Galaxy S5 is unlikely to sport a curved display. Moreover, the 5.25-inch display has already entered mass production.

The concept flaunts a 16MP camera with ISOCELL technology. It is built to capture 4K images and full HD videos. The ISOCELL technology allows users to capture better images in low-light conditions. The Galaxy S5 will also have a 4MP front camera with 1080p resolution. The front camera will boast of ambient sensor and proximity sensor. The much-rumored iris eye scanner will be a part of the front camera. It will scan the user’s eyes before allowing them to unlock the phone and giving access to other services.

Another important feature in the new Galaxy S5 concept is quad-surround speakers. There will be four speakers on each corner of the device. It will give users the real joy of listening to music that sounds great on the Galaxy S5. Other features in the Galaxy S5 concept include 4GB of RAM, a 64-bit Exynos true octa-core processor, wireless headphones and the latest Android 4.4 Kit Kat operating system.

Galaxy S5 to be the most powerful smartphone

The Galaxy S5 may be the world’s most powerful smartphone ever. The Korean electronics giant has announced that it has developed the smartphone industry’s first 8GB LPDDR4 RAM that offers 50% more efficiency than the best memory in the market, but still consumes 40% less power. But reports say that Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) is more likely to use the 4GB RAM with the same efficiency and low power consumption.

The concept design above showcases a metal exterior. But reports suggest that the metal body will have a “diamond-like” coating that will protect the Galaxy S5 against scratches. Wait until April 2014 to get your hands on this beast of a smartphone. What features do you expect in the Galaxy S5? Share in the comments section below.
