iPhone Air And iPhone 6C Concepts: Just Dreams Cooked Up By Apple Fans

Do fans of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) products come up with cooler ideas than the company itself does? In some respects, probably so, although fans aren’t limited by what types of technology can be implemented at a cost that’s reasonable enough for Apple to bring it to market and still make the hefty profits it likes to see. These iPhone 6C and iPhone Air concepts are certainly beautiful, but probably nothing more than a figment of the imagination.

iPhone Air concept is super thin

Both concepts were spotted by CNET. It should be mentioned that this is at least the third iPhone Air concept we have seen, possibly because Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has demonstrated its desire to take design cues from other products for its newer ones. As a result, it may not be much of a stretch to think the iPhone 6 will look something like the iPad Air, but this particular concept takes thinness to the extreme.

This concept comes from Set Solution, and it suggests an iPhone Air that’s only 1.5 millimeters thick—or should we say thin—at the top. It is three millimeters thick at the bottom, and it weighs only 70 grams. Like many of the iPhone 6 concepts we have seen, it has a display that stretches from edge to edge.

iPhone 6C stands for “curve”

The other video is sort of a wish list for the iPhone 5C. It comes in a variety of colors like the 5C does, but in this case, the C stands for “curve.” We’ve heard rumors that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) would incorporate a curved screen into the iPhone 6. CNET compares the curve in this iPhone 6C concept to that of the LG G Flex, although the back of the handset itself is flat. The curve is basically on the front of it.

Needless to say, these concepts are probably pretty far from reality. Apple has yet to break out of the mold it has set for its iPhone. Most people have a pretty short wish list when it comes to the iPhone 6. They just want to see a bigger screen on the handset. But we’ll have to wait and see what Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) delivers next year.
