The Nokia Lumia 929 smartphone could launch at Verizon on November 21, just in time for the Black Friday shopping weekend.

According to NokiaPowerUser (a tech news blog), a Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) insider claimed that Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V)’s next phone will hit Verizon’s shelves on November 21. Interestingly enough, there isn’t a whole lot of information regarding the phone and Nokia has yet to announce it. There were a few reports about the upcoming device and it’s supposed feature a five-inch display.
The Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet computer may also launch that day. CNET’s Lance Whitney offered the details about the tablet: “Equipped with Windows RT 8.1, the 2520 offers a 1,920×1,080-pixel 10.1-inch screen, 32GB of built-in storage, and a 6.7-megapixel rear-facing camera. A 8,000 mAh battery promises up to 11 hours on a single charge. Microsoft and Outlook also are part of the package. November 22 will be a busy day for product launches. The Nokia Lumia 1520 smartphone and Microsoft’s next Xbox are also set to hit the market on that Friday.”
This isn’t the first time Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) created a tablet. The Finnish tech giant released a tablet years ago, however this is the first time the company will release such a device when the market is saturated with similar devices.

GSM Arena offered more details on the upcoming phone which could feature 4G LTE, micro-SIM card, AMOLED touchscreen, touchscreen. NFC, Bluetooth, FM Radio, and more. It’s certainly no iPhone or even a Samsung Galaxy S phone, but it’s certainly a phone worth considering.
The anticipation for the phone is building up and lots of fans are speculating about what’s next. For now, we will have to wait and see what happens with Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) and if this phone actually hits stores. Nokia’s future is looking a little bit brighter, even if the company isn’t expected to garner as much success as Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has with the iPhone.
