Nokia building on the music streaming service launched in 2011

With Mix Radio, Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) plans to build  on the Nokia Music streaming service launched in 2011 to simplify music on the move. The new service allows users to access music (or personalized radio stations) with the help of a ‘Play Me’ button.

The Finnish firm has taken care to offer personalized services to listeners with simple ‘thumbs up’, ‘thumbs down’ and artist ‘favorite’ features, which enhance music selections. Apart from the songs, the service also makes available a variety of expert and celebrity curated mixes, which are advertisement free and subscription free. Users can save these mixes to listen to while being offline. This feature will also save on cost and data usage.

The service can be accessed through Nokia Lumia in 31 countries, which makes it the most global personalized streaming service in the world. The service can be downloaded from Windows Phone Store.
