Initial jobless claims for the week ending November 2 were a seasonally adjusted 336k, the U.S. Department of Labor reports. This is a decrease from the prior week’s revised reading of 345k. Not seasonally adjusted, jobless claims for the week were 327k.

The insured unemployment rate was unchanged at a seasonally adjusted 2.2%.

The number of unemployment insurance recipients was a seasonally adjusted 2.868 million, a slight increase from the prior week’s revised reading of 2.864 million.
