Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) confirmed an upcoming Black Friday event that is set for November 29th on their Australian website. This special sale is both in-store and online. The teaser shows a picture of two iPad tablets covered in green smart covers complete with EarPods designed up in a neat looking bow.
Apple Black Friday shopping event
The shopping event will start at 12:01 a.m. and end 11:59 p.m. AEDT. The prices are subject to change. As expected, the tech giant has yet to list the deals but it’s highly unlikely we will see huge deals. Last year’s deals from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) included mostly meager discounts on MacBooks, iPod media players, and accessories. Such offers included $101 off select MacBook laptops, $31 off the iPad 2 and iPod Touch, and $11 off the iPod Nano. Despite the minimal deals, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) never really suffers from poor sales.
There is still no word on whether the iPhone maker will have a Black Friday sale in the United States, although that’s unlikely to happen. Fortunately, many big box retailers including Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY), Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT), and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) will offer some decent deals during the Thanksgiving/Black Friday holiday event. For instance, Target offers a $75 gift card with any iPad Mini purchase and Wal-Mart offers the same with any iPhone 5S purchase.
A few Apple stores to open in early morning
Even though it’s highly unlikely the company will offer many, if any, deals during the big shopping season, some stores will kick off the event with early retail store openings. A few Apple stores will open as early at 6:00 a.m. in some locations, however most locations won’t open until their regular opening time.
The company’s festive spirit should also last throughout the holiday season. Last week, Apple retail stores started to feature holiday decor which included a snowflake light display on the windows. The snowflakes were made with LED lights for a stunning effect. There is little doubt Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will have an easy time drumming up sales this holiday season!
