Wall Street CEOs to Meet with Valerie Jarrett and Jack Lew

On whether Wall Street CEOs will meet with White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett and Treasury Sectary Jack Lew before meeting with President Obama tomorrow:

“Wall Street CEOs are meeting with President Obama tomorrow. Very low expectations that anything is going to come about this. We should point out that one of the sort of signs I guess to Wall Street is that this is much more of a photo op than anything else or just a publicity stunt is that they are going to be meeting with Valerie Jarrett first, the Presidential Advisor and Jack Lew the Treasury Secretary before they even get to meet with the President.”

On whether Wall Street CEOs are worried about the government shutdown:

“From what I understand these guys just want to get in and get out. Now there maybe something said of substance and if something of substance is said from what I understand it’s this, the broad consensus among Wall Street CEOs is that the shutdown of the government is a non-event in of itself. This is not a big thing and it’s obviously not affecting the markets very much…the big issue that worries Wall Street is the debt ceiling and will the U.S. essentially default on its debt.”
