iPhone 6: Donald Trump Demands Bigger Screen

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) needs to think big. There have been numerous rumors that the upcoming iPhone 6 (which wouldn’t likely debut until next year) will feature a larger screen.

iPhone 6: Donald Trump Demands Bigger Screen

Donald Trump is getting impatient

Prominent U.S.-based businessman Donald Trump is getting impatient. He shared the following tweet on Monday: “As an addition, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) must go to a larger screen now—asap! They’re losing their standing in the market!”

If Donald Trump demands it, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) should listen. Donald Trump knows a lot about business and markets—after all he is one of the most successful business moguls out there. Apple is facing hefty competition from the likes of Android-based competitors who already have larger screens on the market. A phablet would be something different and it would likely reignite interest in the iPhone.

CNET’s Chris Matyszczyk joked, “I am confident that Cupertino has never felt an earthquake more powerful than this. When Donald Trump tells you that you are losing your standing in the market, “asap” cannot be quick enough for your reaction. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s Tim Cook should immediately call Jony Ive into his office and demand that a 6.5-inch iPhone be ready for production within the hour. He shouldn’t tolerate Ive’s prissy insistence that he hasn’t quite got the right feel of curvature for the product. He should hiss with contempt at the mere notion that the precise shade of tangerine matters in the slightest.”

Apple will probably roll out a larger phone

All kidding aside, Donald Trump is right … and wrong. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) must have underestimated the strong demand for the iPhone 5S (particularly the gold version) as these phones sold out quickly. It’s going to take a lot to sway people from purchasing the iPhone. That said, competition is still tight and it seems that everyone except for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is releasing larger phones. In time, Apple will probably roll out a larger phone but when that will happen is still unknown.
