iOS 7 Color Code Not Enough? Enable On/Off Switch Labels

Updated on

When it comes to iOS 7, it is a complete new world for all of us. Apple has changed many aspects as to how the iOS works. The Cupertino company has also changed the color which is used to differentiate when a switch is set to on or off. Now, when a switch is set to on then it is displayed as green, and when a switch is off then it is displayed as white. No more on/off labels can be seen anywhere.

If you’re not liking how Apple displays the toggle switches, then fortunately there’s something that you can do. You can also add a label apart from the color code to the on/off switch.

To add a label, launch the Settings app, tap on General and then on Accessibility.

Scroll down and then you’ll find an option for “On/off labels.” If you’ve observed carefully, then this switch already has a label present which will give you an idea of how it will look like once this option is enabled. Toggle on this option to enable the on/off indicator.

When you think that this option is not for you, then head over to the same place and toggle off this setting.

The good part is that this change not only applies to Apple’s app, but to all apps installed on your iOS device. This setting is a must-have for people with disabilities, or for those who think that only color labels aren’t enough.
