Today is the day Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is going to announce the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 with Retina Display. Although most of us won’t be able to attend the live event later on today, we can still watch live streams of the event.

Apple TV users can view the event by tuning into the “Events”

Jay Yarrow for Business Insider will report live from the event on his blog. But you could also watch the event directly from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), which will be hosting their own live event you can stream. Apple TV users can view the event by tuning into “Events” from the home screen. Mac laptop and desktop users can stream the event through the Safari web browser. iPad and iPhone users can use the same link. The link only works for Apple users with Safari.

What can we expect from the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2? The Telegraph recently shared a list of top ten rumors for the fifth generation iPad. The list includes finger print sensor software, improved higher retina display, lighter design, faster processor, longer battery life, improved camera, lower price, more fun tablet covers, and a possible keyboard cover. The latter would be similar to the keyboard cover for Microsoft’s Surface tablets.

Rumors for the iPad Mini 2 include Retina display with  2,048 x 1,536-pixel resolution. The smaller tablet could also come in black and space-gray in addition to the white and silver combination.

The iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 rumors won’t be confirmed until Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) officially unveils the new tablets. The live event will start at 10:00 Pacific Standard Time. The new tablets will give Apple an edge just in time for the upcoming holiday season, especially combined with the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. It looks like it’s going to be a busy quarter for the Cupertino-based tech giant. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s gadgets always bring out fanfare and we can expect plenty of that later on today.
