Microchip producer Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (NASDAQ:AMCC) is our top pick for today’s list of gainers. The firm’s share price climbed +7.84% to $13.62 following the announcement of the company’s new CFO, Douglas Ahrens. The news was especially well received by billionaire George Soros, who bought 226,000 AMCC shares at an average price of $8.22 last quarter. This position represents just 0.02% of his portfolio but is up +64.62% overall.

International Tower Hill Mines Ltd (NYSEMKT:THM), a gold mining company, is another big gainer this Thursday, up +6.57%. However, gold has been performing quite poorly as of late, THM managing to reach a per-share price of just $0.32. John Paulson holds 17.8 million THM shares (0.07% of his portfolio), which he’s acquired over past quarters at an average price of $2.78.

The only billionaire tracked by iBillionaire with a position in SRPT is George Soros, who owns 426,000 shares (0.18% of his fund) bought at an average price of $19.18.

Angie’s List Inc (NASDAQ:ANGI) makes yet another appearance on our daily losers list, dipping a whopping -15.05% today. The stock price hit $17.83 following the company’s report of a cut in annual memberships. George Soros holds 1.1 million ANGI shares, which represent 0.32% of his fund. The billionaire has been increasing his position in ANGI over past quarters. In September 2012, Soros acquired 600,000 shares, and at the end of March 2013, he owned 1.17 million. The stockholder paid an average price of $12.02 per share.

The second firm with a major loss today is Dex Media Inc (NASDAQ:DXM), its stock dropping -11.33% to $6.89. Billionaire John Paulson acquired 2.2 million shares at an average price of $16.64 last quarter. The position represents 0.28% of his portfolio and is down -58.31% overall.

The last firm on today’s list of losers is Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF). Its stock price decreased -6.62% following billionaire William Ackman’s decision to restructure his position in the company, informed MarketWatch. Investor Carl Icahn is the iBillionaire figure with the biggest allocation in HLF. He holds 16.9 million shares acquired at an average price of $38.65, representing 3.56% of his fund. Another investor affected by this one is George Soros, who owns five million shares purchased at an average price of $42.72 last quarter.
