Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch launch
As it always happens, the rumor mill doesn’t stop until a product is officially unveiled. In this case, we’re talking about the highly-hyped Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and Galaxy Gear – the smartwatch from Samsung. As we’ve previously reported, the Korean electronics giant will be launching the Galaxy Note 3 as well as the Galaxy Gear smartwatch at the September 4th event at IFA Berlin. For sure, this will be a high octane event as the company may be launching two highly hyped devices during a single event.
SamMobile reports that as per their sources, the third generation Note will be shipped during the same month while the Galaxy Gear smartwatch will be shipped in October. Samsung always tries to launch their flagship devices to market soon after the official announcement, and this time it won’t be any different.
Our source mentions week 36 as the likely time when the Note III will begin shipping, while the smartwatch will be shipped around week 40, though a delay of a week or two may happen, depending on region.
SamMobile also reports that the Korean company is dropping the 16GB version of the phone as it leaves little usable space on the phone. Instead, the new starting version will be 32GB. It really makes sense for Samsung to give more usable space to its users for storing that hi-def videos, music collections, photos, apps and more.
For those who’re interested in the tech specs of the Galaxy Gear, it will come with a Samsung Exynos 4212 dual core 1.5GHz processor, ARM Mali-400 MP4 GPU and 1GB RAM. The display will be 1.67-inches with 320×320 pixels resolution.
iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C Launch
Apple, too, is highly rumored to launch the iPhone 5S which is the company’s flagship device, and iPhone 5C, which is the cheaper version of the iPhone on September 10th. This would be a good chance for Samsung to announce their product earlier than Apple and start taking pre-orders.
