Back-to-school season is upon us and many states are utilizing this as an opportunity to give citizens a much needed tax break. Although this break is primarily for apparel and school supplies, some states include electronics on the list of tax-free products. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is taking advantage of this opportunity as they shared the details on the tax free event on their official website.

Apple’s official website announcement
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s official store website added, “When you buy from the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) Online Store, sales tax will appear in your cart and during the checkout process. The correct no-tax amount will appear when you receive your email order confirmation.”
For parents who have been thinking about getting their tween or college student an iPhone, iPad, or even Macbook, this holiday event is something they won’t want to miss. This is also a golden opportunity for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) to sell more iPhones and iPads. Although the iPhone 5S has yet to be released, the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S are still relatively good buys. For those who are looking for a more educational buy, the iPad or iPad Mini is a smart option.
